** Resistive Touch Screen Technology:
Resistive Touch Screen are made up of a top layer that
is pliable and a bottom layer with insulating spacer dots sandwiched between. When
voltage is applied to the layers, fields are formed on each , decodable by the touch
screen controller. Pressure to the outer layers creates a contact through the dots. The
contact¡¦s closing of the circuit generates a voltage signal. The signal registers
the desired command. The most widely utilized touch screen type, Resistive are versatile,
economical, and reliable, featuring such benefits as affordability, activation by any blunt object, high touch point resolution, accurate technology, high
flexibility in size, and low power consumption.
